I have bugs on my bed. Are they bedbugs?

Question by BlueLucario:
I have bugs on my bed. Are they bedbugs?

I watch the news about bedbugs and decided to research them. That same night, I saw the little critter crawl around my bed. It looked like a skinny little bug, like a little black ant, except it had two parts instead of three.

The other day, I saw a fat bug that looked like the little bugs you see crawling in your grain or flour.

I saw red bumps on my breasts, I thought were mosquito bites, and I will freak out if there were mosquitoes.(I don’t want west nile.) Then I saw bumps on my shoulders I thought were acne.

I also saw little blood spots. I thought those blood spots were my period, but there’s no way I would bleed in a bed corner.

What kind of bugs are these? Do you think I have bedbugs? And what are those bugs that crawl into your flour?

Is there any way, that I can get rid of these bugs without getting a new mattress? Mattresses are expensive and I just got a new one.

And how to I prevent them? I’m not very good with hygiene. Does poor hygiene have something to do with it?

Are they dangerous? Are they going to kill me?

Oh wow, it sounds like bedbugs!

They do leave little brownish spots around the edges and corners of the mattress.

No, i’m sure you will have to get rid of the mattress, IF it’s confirmed that you have bedbugs. They are very difficult to get rid of, and will sometimes nest in your other furniture, as well. =(

I don’t know if these bugs are “bed bugs” but you should definitely do a THOROUGH cleaning of your house!!!

Those are bed bugs, alright. A thorough cleaning of your house is always a good idea, and will be good prevention in the future, but this alone will not get rid of bed bugs once they’re in. At a time and place far from here and now, there were bed bugs in our home. I can’t tell you what we did to get rid of them, because I’m sure you can’t do that sort of thing in America and have the authorities find out. Check out the pesticide department in a large store like Wal mart and get some advice. And take it easy, Sweetheart, you’re not about to die for them stupid li’l bugs! Best wishes.
