Question by Nika Penn:
Fleas or Bedbugs could someone help me figure this out please.?

Hello all!
Recently I have been spending the night at my father’s house where he has two pitbulls and I know where the bed I’m sleeping on the dogs used to sleep on but they haven’t slept there for a while now, and the sheets have been changed.
Just a couple of days ago I’ve noticed I’ve gotten bit on my leg, but I dismissed it due to the fact I had went outside with my sister earlier that day, but when I woke up the next morning I noticed I had a new bite on my foot, two on my left arm and three on my right arm along with a few more on the upper part of my leg.
Now a few days ago I felt a weird stinging on my foot and i saw a tiny little black bug on it I picked it up, to inspect it, but when i tried to kill it, it disappeared as if it hopped away or something and now whenever I feel a sting I noticed a new bite mark.
Could someone let me know if it’s fleas or bedbugs because I heard bedbugs could bite as well and also if you guys think it is fleas do you know if I wash my clothes before I go back home if it would give rid of them? I don’t want my puppy at my mother’s house (along with my family there) to get eaten as well. lol.

Thanks in advice ^^

it sounds like fleas to me … a little black bug that jumps sounds like a flea … i would look on the dogs and if they have what looks like pepper in their fur and on their skin which is flea poop (and actually it is digested blood they have sucked and if you re-wet one of those pieces of flea dirt and put it on a white piece of paper, it will turn red again because it is dried blood) … if the dogs have fleas you better hot wash every single thing you own and wrap tightly in plastic bags if you don’t want to bring them home …

If it’s hopping around it’s a flea. Yes bedbugs bite too but they can’t jump. If you wash your clothes and hair you should be fine to go home!
If the dogs used to sleep on the bed, the fleas there will be desperate for blood.
