Bed bugs don’t discriminate. They don’t care how rich or poor you are. They don’t care how clean or dirty your house is. If you leave your house to travel, work, shop, go to the movies, restaurants etc you have just as high a chance of getting them as the next person.

bed bugs can show up anywhere in stores, offices, hotels, trucks, cars, and on ships. bed bugs have been reported in all 50 states in this country. they basically hitch a ride onto anything such as luggages or packages. if you travel or go on vacation, better check your bags for bugs before just leaving them around the house. once they get in the house, its going to be very expensive to get rid of them and they grow in numbers very quickly. they can live a whole year without feeding on you.

they pose very little health risk, but they will make you itchy.

if you are worry about bed bugs, you can buy covers for your bed that has a zipper on it. basically you just bag your bed. as for your couches and sofas, nothing really you can do to keep the pests out of there. if you see bed bugs, you will need a professional to kill them.
