Where did bedbugs come from?

in Bedbug Questions

Question by Mommy of 4:
Where did bedbugs come from?

Almost everyone I know is having a bedbug problem! I’m afraid of bugs. Especially spiders! So I don’t make visits to any body’s house that tells me they have an infestation. I’ve done some research on bedbugs. It’s really scary to me. A bug waits for you to go to bed, and crawls all over your body sucking your blood! I use to be deathly afraid of spiders, but now I see that spiders serve a way better purpose rather than the bedbug, What purpose do bedbugs serve on earth? Anybody else having bedbug issues? please share. I’m afraid that my home will become infested.
Erik and buckhorn: you are BAD!
CRAIG U: I dont have bedbugs in my home (knock on wood). Just wondering where in the world they come from, and forwhat purpose they were created (kinda like rats) eeeeeeew!

I agree! They are completely nasty! Just wash your sheets weekly or biweekly at the least. Keep your house clean! People, animals, children blankets, any kind of fabric can carry them… do don’t let people who have that problem spend the night in the guest bedroom without washing the sheets after they stay to avoid any further bed bug problems! =)

Clean houses are the way to avoid MOST bug infestation problems!

Europe.
Call an exterminator. They aren’t aprticularly dangerous, but I can’t stand the thought of them…
