I work in a Hotel. A rather cheap hotel, but still a popular one. I would venture to say that our hotel is cleaner than your home. After every check-out,. the rooms are practically sterilized. And yes, we occasionally do get bedbugs. And when we do, that room is sealed off and treated, and so are all adjacent rooms. Then they are professionally treated. The rooms are inspected regularly by the city, county, and state. Cleanliness is thrived for, and anything less is simply not allowed. We work hard at it. But we are human, and sometimes things get missed. We try to correct any problems with the rooms. Most hotels are not out to cheat you, or make you sick. If there is a problem, let us know and we do our best to resolve the issue.

What do you think? Answer below.

Motels are even worse. They found sperm on the phone the door knobs and on the carpets.”We’ll leave the light on for you.”

The first thing I do when I get in a hotel room is take off the top bed spread.

Overnight trains between Bangkok and the far south were recently found to be infested with bedbugs. A government spokesperson rather xenophobically said they probably came from foreign backpackers and tourists. By the way, they’ve since been completely refurbished.

I have stayed in your typical family motel/hotel rooms. The $ 100.00 or so a night ones.
I have found hair on the pillows when turning down the beds at night to go to sleep, have found used wash clothes and towels in the bathroom from the former occupant, have found dozens of dead coach roaches in the shower when trying to use it, etc. I now don’t leave home, to travel without my motor home, despite the big gas prices. My toilet, my shower, my bed. Can’t beat it!!!!!!
