Do I need to worry about bed bugs when traveling to New York City for 1 day?
I will be taking a Greyhounf bus there, taking a cab to my location and back, and then taking the Greyhound back the same day. I have had one person tell me that has travelled to NYC that I need to bring a bed bug spray with me because of the epidemic or whatever, while someone else who lived in NYC said not to worry about it.
I will not be sleeping at all in NYC,

The chances are much lower if you won’t be sleeping in a hotel, and bedbugs are more active at night, but you could still catch them from a bus seat. The spray might come in handy there.

We stayed at Hotel 91 and was ok from bed bugs. It’s hard to say, if you sit next to someone on the bus who got it, you might caught it too.. I’m just saying, probably not..
If you’re not staying in a hotel, it’s highly unlikely. Most people bring them home in their luggage from a hotel. You are really not more at risk in NYC than anywhere else in the US.
