is it possible to get bed bugs from a brand new mattress?
just bought a new bed 2 days ago…woke up this morning with a rash and a couple of red dots around my arm, I didn’t wash my sheets though.

It is very possible, especially since you didn’t wash your sheets. Bed bugs hide in clothing, sheets, bed frames, mattresses, and other places and can easily be transported from one place to another. Hopefully the bed bugs did not come from the place you bought the mattress.
