if you have bedbugs you need a new bed- all mites live in the bed, what we cannot see that eats our dry skin which has flaked off. maybe you have another problem – fleas, or eczema or something else that is causing the bites, but if you have animals i would say fleas

Okay, I would strip your bed of all sheets, blankets and all that jazz.

Then I would wash everything in hot water. The usual laundry soap should be fine. Then I would dry them thoroughly.

For the mattress, I would spray it with lysol or something like it. Then once it is dry I would take a damp cloth and wipe it down so the lysol isn’t being absorbed into the sheets.

Also what you can do is take your vaccuum attachment like the long hose and run it over the entire mattress. I would also take each of your pillows and get a clean garbage bag, then put the pillow in one at a time. Stick the vacuum hose in there and hold the bag closed. This will suck all the air out and most of the bugs or whatever is in there.

Then you just release the bag and the pillow will reinflate.

Hopefully that works. Good luck!

Try washing everything in Hot water and dry everything super HOT.
Lysol does not work. If that doesn’t work i suggest you call a exterminator. I almost forgot bed bugs come out at night so look on your walls.
Good luck

there are mites that live in the pillows or everyones mattress, to get rid of them you need to buy new pillows & a mattress. they do however sell “anti allergen” pillow casings, you might be able to find the same product to cover your mattress.
mites are one thing real bedbugs are about the size of a pea and when you squash them they leave a red mark like blood…not pretty. you must get rid of your furniture if you are ever going to be able to rest in peace.-blurey

If you really have bed bugs, you have a bit of work to do to get rid of them. It can be done, but it will take persistence and determination. You need to check everywhere for them.

You may need to get rid of your bed, as it is hard to be sure you have completely eliminated them. They also hide in furniture and carpet as well as beds. You will also find them in ceiling-wall junctures; behind switch plates and outlets; among clothing in closets; inside electronic equipment; and even in adjoining apartments.

If you have a true infestation of bed bugs, you may want to call a professional. It is a huge job to properly treat everything that will need to be treated, and a professional may be more likely to cover all bases. It often takes more than one treatment to get rid of them.

Boric acid is a good start. You can get it in powder form at hardware stores and you need to be liberal with it. It is harmless to humans, so it is safe to use in bedrooms and ktichens if necessary. Don’t put it directly on your mattress.

You will need to thoroughly vacuum you rmattress, box spring, carpet, furniture, and put the vacuum cleaner bag in a garbage bag immediately and put it outside.

Wash all clothing and bedding that might be contaminated in hot water.

Here are a few sites that give more details.
