They are horrible. I carried some home in my luggage last summer while on vacation. Mint and Lavender works so if you can find some lavender cedar blocks or the little potpourri pouches you are in luck. I would buy peppermint soap or oil and even after cleanig area with bleach I would spray the bed with the soap mixture or dab the oil around. You need to buy a mattress cover to keep them contained.Peppermint oil works wonders.They hate the smell/

try with white vinegar
First, break down the entire bed. That means taking the rails out from the headboard and footboard and cleaning ALL surfaces with a strong soap. Encase the mattress, boxspring, and all pillows in these special zippered covers (I will give a link).
Then, wash all baseboards, vacuum baseboards and then apply caulk to any cracks between baseboards and walls or baseboard and floor. This way you can trap them if they are hiding in there. Diatomaceous earth can be used to kill them if you don’t want to use boric acid. The Pyrethrins are made from Chrysanthemums..so that is natural too.
