When do bed bugs disappear after extermination?

Question by Little diamond:
When do bed bugs disappear after extermination?

We got extermination service of bed bugs 4 days ago, but we still found some new bloodish spots on the sheets and we still get bites on the body, but we haven’t catched those bugs with eye. Should we do extermination again or should we wait till they disappear in some period of time?

i really hope that you got some sort of guarantee with the service, because it is almost never a “one time and they are gone” treatment like cockroaches.

I have had my hotel treated 4 times, with varying chemicals, supervised the application, called the owner in to supervise the application as well, refused payment until the problem is completely taken care of, and despite the fact that their numbers are waaaaay down, they are still there. I found one the other day, and it only takes 2 of them to eventually repopulate. If DDT were legalized for home application none of this would matter because it has residual life of about 6 months for about $ 1.50 per room. Needless to say, the application i have had done is much more expensive. I got a bit off topic there.

You have to really look for them… look in the folds of the mattress and box sping as well as in the small folds on the bottom of the box spring, search the walls and frames and any external electrical wiring for small for NEW small black spots about the size of a pinhead, usually in groups. This is their poo, and if new ones arise, you still have them (although the blood spots and bites is sufficient evidence)

As you know, they are exceptionally difficult to spot, but if you learn where they hide (in very small places) you can provide evidence to the exterminator and if you don’t have a guarantee you will have to get it done again, and this time do get a guarantee.

I know your pain.

Greta,

I may have mentioned this on your question if you posted it twice as it sounds very familiar or maybe someone else is having the same problem and that is very possible as bedbugs are becoming immune ot the chemcial we are using on them.

You will want the PCO tocome back and treat again AND you will want to start some kind of chemcial free treatment that you can do yourself like EcoBugFree or Bedbug Terminator that is sold by Kleen-Free or another chmecila free treatment ath kills the bugs on contact that the chemicals will not kill.

Since these are not pesticides, they are safe to spray on your mattress and around your room.

If you still have bugs after the PCO, they either did a poor job or you have the bugs that they will NEVER get rid of unless they keep upping the chemicals.

Good luck
