The bed bug epidemic continues to sweep retailers in the New York City area. Several weeks after certain Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) and Hollister stores closed due to reports of bed bugs, Fox News in NY reported that the AMC 25 theater in Times Square closed last night after several movie goers reported having been bitten by bed bugs. Bed bug specialists assert that this is the time of year when bed bugs are most prevalent and thus a decline in incidents is expected as the weather cools. That notwithstanding, expect customers to be wary of their next itch.
