What is the alternetive way of getting rid of bedbugs beside using a pesticide?

Heat. Keep the bed and mattress out in the hot sun for a couple of hours. If you are from a cold clime try running hot air from your air dryer over the mattress and bed when it is out in the sun

although sunshine is supposed to be the best way i could never be strong enough to lug a Queen sized mattress out of my room and into the yard, i have however used a power head hoover and it vibrates all the little vermin out of there and sucks them up, along with the skin cells, dust and other gross stuff they thrive on.
take your bedding of and wash it good and take your mattres and boxspring outside and beat it to death and knock all the bedbugs out ???
