Will bed bugs live in my xbox 360 or LCD TV?
i just had orkin come and treat my dorm for bed bugs. they are coming back again in 2 weeks to do a final treatment. basically just wanted to know if bed bugs would be able to survive inside my console because i really dont want to have to get it professionally cleaned by microsoft.
just by leaving the system running for a couple hours i could heat the system up to 113 degrees F

Yes they can live in game consoles or tvs….more likely is wall outlets.

They can live anyplace that’s not too far from their victims. So it’s possible they’re in your xbox or your TV, if your TV or xbox are in the same room where you sleep.
Besides insecticide, there are a few other ways you could kill them, but none of them are probably practical for electronics:
– Freeze the device
– Heat the device to 113 degrees Fahrenheit
– Seal it up in plastic for a couple of months (they’ll starve)
they prefer small crevices so i would assume so, get that checked out bro
xbox gets too hot for anything to live in it
As long as you can hit 113F inside your XBox and maintain that temp for a few hours, your XBox should be bed bug free. There are a few things you can try in addition to the above:
1. Aim a hair dryer into the XBox set on the high heat/low air setting. Have a rag in your hand to catch any bed bugs that might run out. If nothing runs out, you are probably in the clear. Hold the hair dryer in place for 30 seconds.
2. Another approach is to get a shallow plastic container. Spread a thin layer of bed bug dust around the bottom. This way, if any bed bugs attempt to escape the bed bugs will be killed. You can still operate the xbox from the container.
